Spring in Vermont - Plenty of snow & great skiing conditions were found in March as many members headed up to the lodge to enjoy their "Last Runs."
The sap buckets were out & the sugarhouses were busy making maple syrup.  It's been a great season with plenty of members utilizing the Lodge this year!

3rd Annual Super Bowl Ski Weekend -  Super Bowl Weekend has become a Winter social event and this year was better than ever!  Long Trail Ale on tap, a fully stocked bar, enough food to last the winter, a great Giant win, and of course the excitement of being in our own lodge in Vermont!  Keep your plans open for our 4th Annual Party next year!!

Pico Sports Center - Pico Sports Center is offering a 7 day gym/pool package for $35.  The 7 days do not have to be consecutive and may be used for one year from the purchase date.  A single day is $15 for adults.

Holiday Happenings in Vermont - The Lodge was busy during Christmas break as members headed north to enjoy the best December conditions in recent memory!  Great conditions weren't just limited to our downhill skiers.  Some took advantage of the new snow to enjoy a little X-country skiing.  The skiing on New Year's Eve was terrific thanks to a snowstorm that blanketed the slopes with several inches of fresh powder.  The Lodge was rocking as members welcomed in 2008 and toasted to more great skiing & a happy & healthy (& injury free) year for all!

December Christmas Party '07 - The Holiday Spirit filled Rod's Irish Tavern as club members enjoyed a delicious buffet meal and celebrated the Christmas Season.  Thank you to our Party Chairperson for organizing a great event!  Our Gift Exchange was lots of fun as several gift items circulated from member to member.  The most popular items seemed to be those of the liquid variety!  Membership Cards & Ski Council stickers/guides were available.  If you did not receive yours, more will be available at the January meeting.  Our Club apparel orders came in & everyone agreed we will be the best dressed club on the slopes this season!  (Navy blue items are backordered & should arrive before Christmas.)  Members have already been up to the lodge & reported great early season conditions.  Several members will be heading up to ring in the New Year in Vermont.  If you are planning to go up be sure to get your reservation in ASAP!

November Wine & Cheese Party '07 - Our Wine & Cheese Party was a great success!  Thank you to our Auction Chairperson for a great selection of gift auction prizes!  Members enjoyed catching up wth old friends and meeting our new & provisional members.  Welcome to all our newcomers!  Don't forget to make your reservation for our Christmas Party on December 11.  Send in your $35 pp to the Party Chairperson no later than December 6 to reserve your place!  We'll enjoy a delicious buffet meal, along with an open bar of beer & wine.  We'll also have our annual gift exchange.  Be sure to bring a wrapped gift if you would like to participate.  This is always a hilarious highlight of the evening! 

October '07 - A complete line of Ocean Ski Club fleeces, hoodies, shirts, hats, etc. are now ready for you to order!  Check out the Download Page for a complete listing & Order Form.  Place your order by November 14 (Wine & Cheese Party)  and your order will be in at our Christmas Party.  (Orders can also be mailed to your home.)

September '07 - Our September meeting was well attended.  Discussion included things to be done during our upcoming Work Weekends, Club fleeces with our logo, and proposed changes/additions to our bylaws.  Complete information on everything discussed at the September meeting is included in this month's Club Newsletter.

Membership List: Copies of the Membership list are available from the Club Secretary.

Meetings: September thru April meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at The Ark in Point Pleasant.

Lodging Requests:  Check the Download Page  for an updated Reservation Form.  Send your
FAXES and check to the Lodge Chairperson BEFORE you go up to the lodge.

 Lodging Rules:  Check the Download Page  for an updated copy of our Lodge Rules & 
Fireplace Regulations.  New & Provisional Members in particular should read over this
important information.

Lift Tickets:  No discount vouchers will be offered for Killington/Pico this season by the new
owners.  Vouchers are available for other resorts.  For info & to purchase vouchers, contact the
Ticket Chairperson one month prior to when you need the vouchers.  Some areas offer discounts
for NJSC members & to the general public.  For a list of deals & specials check the Download Page.

Killington/Pico Express Card:  If a Season Pass is not an option and you'd like to avoid
paying $79 a day to ski Killington, CLICK HERE  for info on the Killington Express Card.
The card will pay for itself after as little as 3 visits. 

Fall Work Weekend:  Each fall Club members take on a variety of improvements at our Vermont lodge to keep it comfortable, safe and attractive.
